What was the most valuable thing you did/learned at your site?
- The most fun thing we did was learning how to apply knowledge from biology class in a real world application such as extracting RNA in order to turn it into cDNA to do RT-PCR with. -Cindy Z.
- Being able to work with different social media pages promoting the company. Also being able to answer the phone and interact with actual customers... Marisa M.
- I had a lot of fun working with students on sequencing stories. For example, we watched Pixar short clips, then the student would have to sequence the events and retell the story. It sounds easy, but proves to be a struggle with some students. Lauren H.
- I really enjoyed assisting in launching the Arlington-Teosinte Sister City Project online store. I have always been really interested in technology and computers, and to be integrating that interest with my passion for helping people was just really great. Also, to see the products that the Project sells finally get the attention they deserve was really nice too. Erin A.
- Observing class visits was very cool and taught me how to make history education really accessible and interesting. I observed college class visits, middle school class visits, and graduate student class visits. I really saw the whole spectrum. Susannah B.
- We held a presentation on Sudanese art in the State House. I loved seeing all the art that they had made and setting everything up. Kate C.
- The last part of my internship was running a campaign at Alewife station, it was really fun to see all my ideas come to life that day. Randall S.

What was the most valuable thing you did/learned at your site?
- I learned how to take responsibility and have a business-like work ethic. Doing homework assignments, I always seem to procrastinate or take a break but taking this internship allowed me to focus a hundred percent on any assignment. Tenzin N.
- How a non profit really works, in the sense of all the teamwork and collaboration that is needed to meet goals ... They truly believe in what they are doing, and the goodness they can spread through their nonprofit. I have never been in a climate where everyone was so committed and in love with that they were doing until I worked here. It was inspiring. My goal now is to find an organization, company or job where I can be that passionate about what I am doing. Alanna O.
